He's not that into you...

I don't know if it was just a movie advertisement or it was a sign that maybe i'm on to something. I had a date with the man in my life last Sunday and we were walking into the movie theater and there it was..the poster for the movie He's not that into you... I don't know if it's my past insecurities from failed realtionships and not being treated properly but it got me thinking..maybe he's not. I think in some ways I am insecure but then I also think there are certain things that I shouldn't have bothering me.

He always opens my car door..always. We see each other every weekend for a date, however I started wondering how much he really cares when my cell phone broke (minor soda accident after the date) on Sunday and I didn't hear from him until I received a text on Wednesday. So when I called him on Wednesday ( I had no numbers I lost them all) I asked you weren't worried when you hadn't heard from me? Nope. So then i'm like huh..interesting. When we very first met I would usually get a cute hi text or something relating to an inside joke from him, now i get nothing. Why do these things die off?? I still send them not as often because now I feel like I might be bothering him.

We've only been dating for a little over two months and I don't want to seem needy but I feel like I need to approach the where do you see this going topic. I like that we have been taking things slow because lord knows after my last realtionshit, I am not in a rush! However I'm not young and am not going to waste my time anymore dating someone who isn't on the same page as me, I am a little older and a little wiser. I know how well the maybe things will get better game works out..It doesn't!

But like I said maybe I'm letting my past failures cloud my thinking or maybe once again my gut is trying to tell me something and it's always been right in the past.

On a happier note..puppy training is going well. Sydney seems very smart!! She has adopted her name, is adjusting to being in the crate (her sad face though when I put her in there kills me!) she knows how to sit and is catching on to other basics, such as inside and no. The next obstacle is to work on the chewing!! Table legs and toilet paper and boxes, well anything! Oh well one hurdle at a time, we are making baby steps, she is after all just a baby!

Enjoy the moments of dating, the right guy ain't going anywhere and it's possible you haven't found him yet. He will come along.

My GF journals, and back in 2001 she wrote down the things she wanted in a man. There were 14 of them. She said that if a guy had most of them she would be happy. It took me 6 years to find her and guess how many I scored on? 14 of 14!

Don't put yourself through the mind games of dating. If it doesn't seem to be a match, chalk it up to a life lesson, that the experience was fun and move forward.

Relationships are tought and boy I had my share. I think the most important part is never change who you are...everything else will fall into place when it's right.
