My mom's boyfriend is out of the hospital..YAY!!! He had to get four pints of blood and he has several stomach ulcers but he's going to be ok..what a relief! My week got even better when i learned that: M IS MOVING OUT!!!! My headlight is fixed (thanks A!) and by pure luck I'm guessing my passenger side window has quit it's strike on not working! Things are starting to turn around and I feel so much better. My home life is definitely going to improve, I'm not going to feel like a shut-in in my own home anymore.
I had a whirlwind weekend a couple weeks ago traveling from coast to coast in Florida. Saturday night was club level seats at the Tampa Bay Lightning game, then on to Sunday at the Daytona 500, then Tuesday night was courtside seats at the Magic game. I loved all of it, but I think the Magic game was the best, I even got a few autographs. (I'm a nerd I know!) This past weekend I decided to take a spur of the moment trip to Ft Lauderdale to visit a friend. It was kind of fun to pack up Sydney and just hit the road with no agenda just to get away.
R and I have been hanging out again, not sure where it's going but I'm not going to give it much thought and just go with the flow. I also learned that the job layoffs are hitting close to home. My former boss and good friend got her pink slip, if you will, last week. It makes it even harder for me to be complaining how busy I am at work knowing that people I am close to don't have a job. Things are looking up for me at work though, I was trained to do some underwriting (yay!) and am going to be in the company video for our website and promotions. I am looking foward to being able to spend some time with my best friend of 12 years the first weekend in March, I miss her terribly and really love our weekly catch up phone calls!!!
